OOPOLY Accountancy Students Sit for Practical Examinations in Sage Accounting Package
Over 250 National Diploma students from the Department of Accountancy, Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba (OOPOLY), are currently sitting for their practical examinations in Sage Accounting Package for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. The practical examinations, which are being conducted in batches at the institution鈥檚 ICT Department, underscore OOPOLY鈥檚 position as a pioneering Polytechnic in equipping students with hands-on technical skills. The exercise is being facilitated by Dr. I. P. Ujah, a renowned academic specializing in Digital Accounting, Forensics and Corporate Reporting under the supervision of the Director of ICT, Mr. Nnaemeka Okoro. The Head of Department, Elder Dr. Ubani Ezebunwa, alongside Departmental Lecturers who were also present to monitor the proceedings.
During an official visit to monitor the examination at the ICT Department earlier today, the Rector, Engr. Dr. Christopher Okoro Kalu, observed the ongoing examinations and interacted with both staff and students. He commended the department for prioritizing technology-driven learning and practical competence.
The examinations continue in batches as the department has one of the institution's largest numerical strength alongside other Departments
