About

About General Studies

The General Studies (GS) Directorate is responsible for providing foundational education that equips students with essential skills in humanities, social sciences, communication, and entrepreneurship. We believe that a well-rounded education goes beyond technical expertise and includes the development of critical thinking, effective communication, and ethical reasoning.

Our mandate includes coordinating general studies programmes across all schools, developing curriculum that fosters holistic student development, and ensuring that every graduate of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic possesses the soft skills and broad knowledge base necessary for success in their careers and personal lives.

With a team of experienced educators and subject matter experts, we offer a diverse range of courses that complement students' technical and professional training, preparing them to become well-rounded, socially conscious, and globally competitive individuals.
